Campus facilities

You'll benefit from award-winning facilities at ARU, the result of £115m of investment over five years.

At ARU College we believe that excellent campus facilities are essential in providing the support and resources required to make the most of your studies. In the last five years ARU has invested over £80 million in campus developments, with a further £124 million planned over the next 5 years.

Thanks to this investment we have:

  • started training a new generation of doctors in Essex’s first School of Medicine. The building houses specialist simulation rooms, mock hospital wards and an anatomy suite
  • opened a dedicated Science Centre in Cambridge, complete with a 300-seat lecture theatre adapted for science teaching, and a raft of specialist labs
  • established Law Clinics in Cambridge and Chelmsford, which offer free legal advice and give our students the opportunity to work on real-life cases with qualified solicitors.

Facilities

Medicine facilities

Our School of Medicine in Chelmsford opened in 2018. The £20 million building boasts state-of-the-art skills facilities, GP simulation rooms, an anatomy suite and a Harvard style lecture theatre.

Nursing facilities

Our Cambridge and Chelmsford campuses all offer purpose-built nursing skills labs. The labs simulate many aspects of a working hospital ward, and let you use sophisticated healthcare equipment.
