Arriving in the UK
There are a number of airports in the South-East of England, including Stansted, Luton, Heathrow and Gatwick.
- Stansted – Cambridge = approx. 38 minutes
Stansted – Chelmsford = approx. 28 minutes - Luton – Cambridge = approx. 1 hour
Luton – Chelmsford = approx. 1 hour 15 minutes - Heathrow – Cambridge = approx. 1 hour 30 minutes
Heathrow – Chelmsford = approx. 1 hour 20 minutes - Gatwick – Cambridge = approx. 1 hour 40 minutes
Gatwick – Chelmsford = approx. 1 hour 10 minutes
There are a number of options to travel from the airport to either Cambridge or Chelmsford including trains and buses.
Travelling by bus

Trains to Cambridge depart London from King’s Cross station, trains to Chelmsford depart from Liverpool Street station. To book tickets and check departure times check out the National Rail website.
Money
When you arrive in the UK, you should bring about £150-£200 in cash and/or travellers’ cheques for your immediate needs (meals, train fares, etc.) plus money needed for your transport. Avoid carrying any more money on you in case it gets lost or stolen.
