Welcome week and Your Induction: What to expect

Welcome Week is designed to introduce you to university life and help you settle in. If you're starting your course in September 2024, Welcome Week will take place between 16 and 20 September. So, what happens in welcome week?

FRESHERS FAIRS

Freshers Fairs are a highlight of Welcome Week. You will have the chance to explore a variety of clubs, societies, and activities available on campus. Organised by the Students’ Union, ARU Freshers Fairs are full of music, food, drink, and plenty of freebies! It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, find a society or sports team that interests you, and grab some discounts along the way.

  • Chelmsford Welcome Fair: Thursday 19 September from 11am
  • Cambridge Welcome Fair: Wednesday 18 September from 11am

ARU COLLEGE INDUCTION

Your induction and welcome talks will help to ensure you have the best start possible to your degree. These sessions will give you the opportunity to meet fellow students, college staff and teachers, give you a taste of student life at ARU, and show you how to get involved with activities, societies, and access the different services available to you.
