ARU Ranked Highly for Graduate Employment
ARU has more graduates in paid employment than any other university in the east of England.
Graduates Outcomes Survey
The HESA Graduate Outcomes Survey 2024 has ranked ARU 1st in the East of England and 5th in the UK for the number of UK undergraduates employed as managers, directors and senior officials. They were also ranked 2nd in the country and 1st in the East of England for the number of full time graduates working in human health and social work roles. Finally, ARU has the 2nd highest number of Business and Management graduates in the country in paid employment (15 months after graduating).
Careers and Employability Team
The credit goes to our dedicated and hardworking students as well as the ARU Careers and Employability team, who are known for their fantastic initiatives and support to all students. The Careers and Employability team support students to build the skills and abilities that employers value – from day one!
They offer support with:
- Careers advice and preparation
- Work experience and placement
- Paid part time work
- Volunteering opportunities
- Support for start-ups
ARU Careers and Employability team were rated outstanding for approaches to supporting student success in TEF 2023.
ARU College
At ARU College, we are committed to ensuring, through our teaching, that all of our students have the skills to start university as well as prepare for their future career. We also offer fantastic opportunities for students to get involved with alongside their studies. Such as, becoming a student council member or representing the college as a student ambassador. Both of these opportunities are great for developing employability skills.
