ARU College Student Testimonial – My experience of studying in the UK

My name is Niharika Patel, and I am studying Banking and Finance – BSc (Hons) with Foundation Year at ARU Chelmsford. I am originally from the West Coast of Gujarat, India. I have always been fascinated by British culture and the United Kingdom because of its culture.

I used to tell my mom, and I remember very vividly, that “one day, I will study in UK’s finest universities, and you will be so proud”.

I have always been driven by numbers. My uncle is an Investment Banker, and I had a mindset of becoming like him one day – back then, it was all about wearing formals, a few handshakes and good sleep. I was in my mid A levels when I decided to go to the UK for my studies. I got in touch with my agency and they provided me an option for ARU with two substitutes – Direct Entry & Foundation. My qualifications did not have Math and due to which, I decided to go for ARU BSc (Hons) Banking and Finance with Foundation, and it was that easy with ARU College!

I was tense about my offer letter because of the requirements, but I was excited when I saw my offer letter from ARU College in just 4 hours!

Soon after that, I was invited for an interview and undoubtedly, the interviewer was so kind, understanding and polite.  I got my unconditional offer letter, and due to covid-19 I remember emailing the college for my delay and they were very flexible about it. That was the moment for me when I realized, I, with my career was in good and safe hands, and I could not ask for more.

I got my CAS letter in less than a week and was all set to come experience my new phase of life. I will accept the fact, that just like everyone else, I was nervous about travelling, new people, new culture but ARU College seminars made sure that I felt comfortable before and after coming in.

Even though, I studied in a Cambridge affiliated school, my foundation year with ARU College has helped me acknowledge different aspects of my degree course and what to expect further in my course. I could not ask any better institution to guide me more in my course. The modules, the immigration, the online & offline registration, the faculties are so polite, understanding, down to earth, and always there to help. I am grateful and thank ARU College for making my dream come true!
